Data collected through the site

The site has no appointment booking form of its own. Appointments are made through the hospital secretariats or through third-party booking platforms, which have their own privacy policies.

When you contact us by e-mail, we process your name, your e-mail address, your telephone number where applicable and the content of your message.

Medical record

Health data processed in the course of care form part of the patient record, kept in accordance with the Act of 22 August 2002 on patients' rights and the Act of 22 April 2019 on the quality of healthcare practice. They are kept for 30 years from the last contact with the patient, as required by Belgian regulations. The hospital record is kept by the institution concerned, which is the data controller for the care it provides.

Retention of contact data

E-mail exchanges not followed by medical care are deleted within 12 months.

Recipients

Data are not passed on to any third party for commercial purposes. They may be shared, subject to professional secrecy, with the other healthcare professionals involved in your care (family doctor, orthodontist, dentist, hospital), with your health insurance fund for billing, and with our technical processors (e-mail host, website host), bound by contract.

Transfers outside the European Union

Squarespace and Google (e-mail) may process data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure (within the limits of legal retention obligations), restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them: contact@firasshall.be, enclosing proof of identity.

You may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels.

Security

Data are hosted on secure servers (TLS encryption, restricted access). The site is served over HTTPS.

Cookie policy

This site uses neither Google Analytics, nor advertising cookies, nor social media tracking tools.

  • Strictly necessary cookies (Squarespace): security and proper functioning of the site — set without consent, session duration.
